Igor Popov joins Advisory Board

Lifecycle Renewables welcomes Igor Popov to the Advisory Board.

Mr. Popov has over 20 years of cross-functional experience ranging from product development to marketing, finance and operations; the last eleven years have been focused on turnaround and crisis management.  Most recently, Mr. Popov was a Senior Operating Executive at Cerberus Operations & Advisory Company, the operating arm of Cerberus Capital Management.  Since 2006, Mr. Popov has been primarily involved with The Freedom Group, holding the title of Chief Restructuring Officer after the acquisition of Remington Arms, and the Chief Supply Chain Officer in which he controlled planning, sourcing and operations strategy.  Mr. Popov also stepped in to turn around our nation’s oldest and largest firearms manufacturing plant located in Ilion, New York, negotiated multi-year union contracts and led operational due diligence on subsequent acquisitions.  Prior to joining Cerberus, Mr. Popov worked as an independent consultant taking on interim CEO, COO and President roles, turning around, and operating companies in the United States, Great Britain and Poland.  Mr. Popov’s turnaround career began in 1999 restructuring Mexican operations for a global electronics manufacturer while at PricewaterhouseCoopers and at The Recovery Group, in Boston, Massachusetts.  In 1987 Mr. Popov began his professional career in the automobile industry, working as an engineering consultant in Detroit and successfully established a European subsidiary for his firm in Germany.  Mr. Popov holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from The Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College.
